Goodbye Texas! Hello Virginia!

A new year, a new resolution! After five and a half years of motherhood and the best of intentions, I have resolved to admit that the blank pages in the three baby books collecting dust on the shelf are a tradition of the past. And so marks the start of my blog.

I aim to capture the joy, hilarity and day to day musings of the Love family. If I succeed every few days, it'll be an improvement over what I am NOT writing down currently.

I put the girls to bed tonight (in their own beds for the first time in 9 nights) with big s,lies on their faces. We have had a full 9 days....and some full nights as well. Christmas in Charlottesville, Christmas in DC with Goodie and a finL celebration in Texas. As always, we did it up BIG in Texas with full house, lots of hot tubing, golf cart rides, a keg of Shiner Bock for the grownups and romper room with cousins, Mary Katherine and Caroline, for the kids.

Camille's vocabulary blossomed in Texas. With a week until her 2nd birthday, we caught her repeating after everyone. "Happy Holidays" quickly became her favorite new saying. She understands EVERYTHING and is quickly beginning to say everything,as well.

Danielle surprised us all by writing her name perfectly on the back of a drawing. With the greatest of ease, she wrote DANiELLE!

Katarina had us all (well almost all of us!) in stitches, when she volunteered to say grace at the table one night. "I pledge allegiance to the flag......." was definitely a first at her grandparent's table!

Tomorrow starts the beginning of our normal routine. Early wake ups, backed lunch boxes, trip to the grocery store and I know we are all excited. Wonderful to come back to after a relaxing time away.
